Happy Father's Day!
Our fam tradition is family time together at meal time. Mom and I cook breakfast and my brother and sis in law take him out to his fav buffett, the Golden Corral for dinner. My dad has never been big on physical gifts, even when we were young kids, so the most precious gift that we enjoy giving is our time. As adult children, you learn that your parents enjoy the simple gift of you taking time out and appreciating them, and acknowledging that you are where you are in life because of them.
My dad is southern, so we always go southern...we had okra, field peas with snaps, hash browns fried crispy, homemade beef sausage, cinnamon buns, and fruit. Not the healthiest breakfast, but it's a special occasion!
