Ready to Play----My Bible Game is Done! :- )!

After about six or seven years in the making, at last, my Bible game is just about ready to play!  :-)!  It showed me how much information I had been given to glean from past sermon notes, AC classes, literature studies, the Bible Correspondence Course, etc.  I decided for a handmade/homemade board game, but that ended up taking me more time.  I had to cut the cards all even, and there are hundreds and hundreds, no joke, of question/answer cards.  Then once cut, fold them so that the answers are lined up correctly on the back of each card with the reference scripture, and then, figure out how to make the game board complete with dice.  How do you play?...Each player has a small playing piece....roll the dice.....move your playing piece according to dice roll on the game board and whatever category that you land on is the card question that you get.  The questions are at all different levels, some super easy, some moderately easy or difficult, others, mind blowing difficult.  Now, with this game, I find myself STOKED to study more-so than before.  Obviously there is still the incoming notes, literature, and the Bible itself to study, but this will definitely be a BIG memory teaching tool help!  My goal has always been to be someone who is ready to teach and give an answer easily.  This project of mine is so exciting b/c of that, and all of the time and effort spent on it has finally paid off!  Now, I can't wait to have a group of friends over to share in the fun, and play the game!  :-)
Above and Below:  A few questions in the game....the answers are on the back of each card.

Another Miracle!

Yesterday on Sunday Morning our family experienced another miracle.  I know of a few people who knew the fire started right on our road, and we had to temporarily evacuate our homes b/c of smoke inhalation, but it only lasted a short time, and we were back to normal Sunday life.  :-)  God does protect.  It's incentive to try to keep obeying God to our best to always have his promise of protection.  Here is the article link on the fire.:

An Aunt and her Niece!

Sophia was such a cuddle baby yesterday when I babysat her at my place, while her parents were entertaining guests from the Philly Club in their home.  She squeezed her face against mine, like in the pic above, and kept that holding position for at least five minutes.  I loved every second of it.  She made us into "Siamese twins."  One of the sweetest moments is when a little one tries to be so close to you.  Ahhh!  Heart melting.

I give up.  My Aunt is my personal little paparazzi, so I might as well start posing for the camera.  I'm taking advantage of having my fingers in my mouth while it's still cute, too.  Oh, did I mention that I spit up all over Aunt Carolyn for the first time last night too.  She was very patient with me though.  She just laughed at me and wiped me and herself off.  Was I ever relieved I didn't get into trouble.  When I first spit up, I'm sure my Aunt saw the look of fear on my face, but she was cool. We babies have it good.  Even when we spit up all over them, grown-ups still think we are cute.  They even make throwing up sound so much nicer....they just call it spitting up for us babies.  Whew!   :-)  Thank you, Daddy and Mommy, for letting my favorite Aunt babysit me.  She really is my fav Aunt b/c she is my only Aunt.  There is that fun saying that goes something like this..... "Whatever happens in my Aunt's home stays there"....but in my case, since my Aunt blogs everything, that is so not true!  Now you know what we did!  :-)
Above:  She fell asleep after about two hours of playful energy.  As you can see, Aunt Carolyn needed a nap too.  Love the hair!  Sophia played with my hair for awhile.  Cheap, easy entertainment.  :-)
Below:  A closer up of Sophia and a better shot of Aunt Carolyn after smoothing the hair down from Sophia's handiwork.  :-)  Her head has dropped, now she was completely asleep.  Dead weight.  LOL!

Above:  She woke up after her little nap in deep thought it looks like.  :-)  I love this pic.  Sophia looks content to be with her Aunt.  Ahhhh!
Below:  Come on Aunt Carolyn!  Stop taking my picture, and put the bottle back into my mouth.  I'm a hungry little woman!  :-)  You're bound to have to change at least one diaper while I'm here, so let's get this done!  :-)

A Fun Evening of Ethiopian Dining!

Thanks to Ms. Powell for treating a group of us to Ethiopian dining last night for dinner at Haiget's Restaurant.   I've said it before on my little blog, but Ms. Powell has really been setting such a wonderful example in serving by getting people together.  She is amazing!  She is so humble that she will be like, "don't say that" when she sees this, but I want to say it.  :-)  Above, our group pic taken by the restaurant store co-owner...aka family business, waitress, chef, and bus gal....seriously two people were running the whole restaurant...either a bro and sis combo, or husband and wife...didn't dare ask.  :-)
Thanks to the just super lovely Tasha and Deepika for allowing me to use their pics since I didn't take any....so pic credit goes to them.  :-)
Below:  Ms. Powell and Sherry chatting it up!

Above:  Charles W. smiles!  Super nice guy.  :-)
Below:  Panay and I finally had a chance to just sit down and chat.  Love this young woman.  She and her sis Maree are so genuinely friendly and radiate positive vibes.  Truly genuine people are so refreshing to be around.

Candid SWW2015 Formal Dinner Dance Pics :-)

Just a few friends have asked if I took any pics at the SWW2015 and the answer is, this is it.  :-)!  I worked the HOA front desk most of the time.  Someone has to always be there.  :-)  Sarah and her hubs were running the weekend, and Paulette was an attendee, and Emily was busy putting things back in order in her dept since she had been so involved in the musical and I didn't want to trouble her.  I'm thankful I participated in what I did though.  The Bible Study(streamed it at work on my computer) and the Dinner Dance were amazing.  From what I saw, this was one of the best SWW's, and it was evident that a lot of effort and work went into it to ensure people a great time.
To keep from offending, I won't name everyone in the above pic b/c I don't know two people's names, but lovely ladies!

Joel HS, one of the nicest people, and my bud Jamie serving drinks at the dance.  These two are always individually serving.  Love it!

Just For Fun - A Few Candid Isaiah Musical Shots

Just a few pics, for fun, of candid "behind the scenes" shots that I took with my little camera phone during Isaiah Musical Dress Rehearsals.
Above:  Calela and Jamie
Below:  Justin, Albert, and Zechariah.  Lovely folk!  :-)

Loving the Deepika and Grace gal pal time at practices.  :-)

Above:  Melissa using her time wisely hard at work on the drawing board.  This gal is so talented in art.  It amazes me, and she is soooo nice.  This gals rocks!  :-)
Olivia helps Skye with her ancient fashion sense.  :-)
To get a decent and kosher pic in the dressing room, you have to be super careful and very aware of "accidental photo bombs" in the background.  These two were successes.  "Postable."  :-)  Love these gals, Danielle, Brandi, and Panay.  So sweet!
Apparently, above, Lindsy was ahead of her time with a laptop in ancient days, and below, the lovely Eleisha strikes an Irish Dancer pose for me.

Above:  Conner must have been the only one with an IPAD back in ancient days.  :-)
 The Levitical bunch.  :-)

 Above:  Family united.  :-)
Below:  James apparently was the fashion guru back in ancient days styling with his modern winter vest over his ancient clothing, and Anthony looks like a happy Assyrian Soldier.  :-)  I think the Assyrian soldiers have the most fun part in the entire musical.  They get to stomp around.....aka marching, and then they get to play dead towards the end.  :-)

Caleb looks like a very nice Assyrian soldier.  His entire family is so nice in real life off stage too.  Justin looks like...don't mess with me.  .....Portraying the character well though in real life he is super nice.
Mr. Hilliker's costume and makeup along with my "wannabe iphone camera" actually looks really scary and creepy ....ironic since he is totally so nice in real life.

Mom and son posing in costume.  Jude's dance looks so fun dancing with two "fake" swords...keeping things safe.....in hands.
 Jude's neat head covering.
 Classic Assyrian look.  :-)
Above:  My favorite pic in the lot.  These gals rock!  :-)
Chatting it up with more of the Levitical bunch.
Jordan is such a nice boy and a fantastic dancer.

Nice photo bomb facial expression, Gianni.  :-)!

 Grace playing with the kids.
 Little man is so adorable!

Assyrian Soldiers who play the piano on "leave"....aka break time which would translate to intermission during a real show.  :-)  Not only are Jordan and Justin fierce on stage, but they are "fierce" on the piano.  :-)
 ...as well as a Levite
Below:  Jamie's character is actually called Lady II and I'm a Woman Inhabitant.....just to make sure our genders are clear.  :-)!

Below:  VIDEOS
Fun "while on break" videos of the piano wielding Assyrian soldiers.  Turns out they are not so bad when not wearing their helmets and wielding their weapons.  :-)
