FOT Grenada Tropical Adventures "Photo Appetizer" :-)

Here are a handful of pics that Deepika Azariah and myself took in Grenada (in the Caribbean) over the past two weeks.  We're still in Grenada, and we have MANY MORE photos that will be posted on peacefulstorms AND royaltruecolours next week when we're back home, but here is a sampler for the time being.  Hope you all enjoy!

Can you spot who is NOT a kid in this picture?!  :-)  I love all of the kiddos!
At the Singles activity number 2...adventures touring the island, kind of...went to a waterfall, took a hike, and went to a lake.
Anita Burks took these pics of me "chillaxing" on the beach at family day.
Caribbean Queen!  :-)

A group of us took a sunset cruise on a boat one evening.  I had to take a motion pill to keep from getting sea sick, and the pill made me drowsy and spacey, but still had fun.
Grenada Scenery during singles activity number 2.  God's creation absolutely gorgeous!!!

Deepika and the cute little gal!

The boys....Levi and Israel...their matching shoes, perfect for my fashion blog, and their beaming faces.

Taken on the Caribbean Sea while on the sunset cruise.  Nice pic.  Proud of my camera!

This "stork?" caught a lizard while we were watching.  ummm I'm torn about this pic...it's a neat pic, but we're looking at the end of a lizard's life.
 The girls!
Love Miriam's smile in this photo.
 Carolina friends!
One of my new fav kiddos...Javon.  He told me he'd let me take this pic of him since I live so far away.  Too cute:-)!

Busy Time of Year---Flute MP3

After a busy "homelife" week of getting ready for a big week next week.... friends coming and staying in my home, cleaning, laundry...you would think I have a family of my own......5 loads of just me!...need to downsize......packing, tieing up loose ends, practicing two special music performances vocal and flute, getting myself ready to fly away out of the country into the sunrise not sunset, (early morning flight) I took a time out and realized how busy most people are physically this time of year, and how it distracts from the real reason of why we put ourselves through it.  It put things back into perspective for me and that calmed me way down!  I've been blowing the cobwebs, not literally, well maybe, who knows it's been so long since I've played, out of my flute preparing for special music at the feast, and while choosing a song I found an old MP3 file of Mrs. Saranga and I playing a duet from 2005.  It really relaxed me.  I've never thought this before, and not to offend any male flute players, but the flute CAN be a very feminine instrument...so tender and beautiful.  I put it up on my blog....it's not in bold, but it's kind of "hidden"right under the big bold Fashion Designs 5 Title.  If you click on it, it will play.  Enjoy!  This is my last blog entry until early October!  ...will have pics from my trip, and new designs!

Dinners from this weekend!

A small group of younger singles and "more mature" not old...seniors went out to dinner at Interurban yesterday after services.  It was a lot of fun with the mixture of age ranges.  The fun twist to this dinner is that the singles treated the seniors to dinner surprising them by picking up the tab.  It was such a FUN way to serve our more mature brethren.  It seemed like everyone had a great time.  We (single friends) want to do it again sometime after the FOT.  It's neat when the family gets together of all different age ranges.  Lots of stories told!
ABOVE:  I love the pic of Jordy Rouzer smiling.  She's sitting next to Mrs. Pat Malone and AC Freshman Zach Bush.  Fun people!
My mom and Jamie Hawkins look like they are having a blast.  Paula Powell chats with Zach and Reniel Padua
 A table shot.
Miss Dawson smiles.  You can see Mr. Robert Harmon, Dan Arnfield, and our waitress in this pic as well.
This pic features Mrs. Helen Amos, Mrs. Samantha Harmon, and Mr. Harmon
Aimee Goulet, Mrs. Malone, and Jordy

Yours Truly.  I cut my hair a few weeks back and it's been doing what it wants.  Not sure if I like it, but oh well, I'm here and alive.
Broke diet, totally already in FOT mode!  White flour on my plate....total sin!  :-)!
 My mom's plate
Going back in time.  At services....
Kay-La Glennon and her mom have moved to HQ.  Yeah!!  Kay-La is one of my favorite adopted little sisters.  We were shocked to see that we had worn the exact same flower in our hair yesterday without each others knowledge.  This seems to happen a lot where we will even wear the same clothes on the same day whenever we've seen each other in the past.  Guess we think a like.

Going back in time to Friday Night.  I prepared a meal for two wonderful ladies in our congregation...Deborah Smythe and Ranmona Larsen, and Deb's son Alexander.  I really owe Ramona a thanks b/c she really got the ball rolling on this dinner.  She mentioned to me last week that I never invite her over, and I realized it's true.  I've been in a rut of inviting some of the same people over, so this year I'm going to really make an effort to try to get to everyone making sure everyone gets at least invited over once to my place this year.  Still in FOT mode I made what is an "unhealthy" meal for me, but it was yummy and everyone seemed like they liked it.  After the FOT will be major detoxing for me!  :-)

A Friend's Family Trumpets Moment

Rachel Szabo emailed this pic out to a few friends of her family with the shofar and I loved it.  I asked her if I could blog it and she said sure.  Great family photo  Her son looks like he's covering his ears b/c of the loudness, and her daughter looks like she's saying bring on the noise daddy!  :-)  Too cute not to share!

Great Trumpets Lunch!

A few friends had a fabulous Trumpets lunch at the Mr. and Mrs. S.Flurry household.  Thanks to the Flurry's for hosting this.  It was REALLY enjoyable...the food was yummy...and the fellowship was fantastic!!!  I really enjoyed myself!
More food pics coming soon of a dinner hosted at my place tomorrow night, and a special dinner that some friends and I are getting together for this coming Satruday night.  By the time I leave for the FOT I'm going to have gained a few pounds beforehand!  Been thinking how God's way of family and life is truly such a blessing!!!  It was so nice to not have to leave campus today all day!  Blessings galore!!!

..and we were offered kombucha shown in the picture.  Healthy folk we are!  Mrs. Flurry's homemade kombucha is yummy...apple cinnamon.  Above:  Joel Hudson Stewart helps prep appetizers.
Ashlynn McLain and Vienna Flurry.  Love their young hair updo's!  Classy!
Mrs. Flurry being so kind getting our food out ready to eat!
I love this pic of Vienna adding a table place setting.  It's neat how the young people know proper etiquette of an elegant table setting at such a young age.  Blessings of living God's way of life!  We are royalty.  :-)
One of the best host and hostess there is, Mr. S. Flurry and Mrs. A. Flurry.  :-)

Jude Flurry and Jordan Saranga.  They ALWAYS take such great photos.  Very friendly little men as always!

 My plate!
Ben Young and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hilliker
I'm so fond of Alisha Miiller.  She's such a fun and classy lady!
Lindsay Eagle and Joel Hudson Stewart.

 Loving Alana Blanchat's smile!!!
Lindsay Eagle.  I really like this young woman.  So friendly!
Yes, I had a brownie with sugar.  It was a VERY special day afterall!  :-)  Yummy!

When I got back to Armstrong Auditorium I took this pic up in the balcony.  Just felt like it!  :-)

Yours Truly on Trumpets.  After today I'm even more pumped for "the actual Day of Trumpets" to occur!!!
