Lovely Kid Friends!

Savannah, Cineath, and Alec Brown (Cineath assured me that he was smiling. :-) )
(a sister and brother, and a cousin)
These kids are so lovely.  They are being raised right in good families, and are such a delight to be around.  They are very respectful, can carry on a conversation, and just lovable kids!  Other than a very thought provoking msg, and a very bubbly house guest from South Africa this weekend, these kids definitely made my Sabbath day, and I'm sure many others as well!
Honorable mention :-) was briefly chatting with the Locher kids beforehand, and those kids (and teen :-))  are so lovely too!  Those girls always make my and I'm sure a lot of others days.  ...so respectful, feminine, and thoughtful.  Being around Godly young people like this is SO refreshing!  It's really wonderful to have the opportunity to speak with the next generation!

My Second PYC Sabbath Candid Pics

I took this pic for the King's in Australia!  Nicholas came over and said hi!  I was happy he remembered me.  Ahhh, the King kids are soooo friendly!  He spoke with my parents for quite awhile.
Took this pic for Mr. and Mrs. Marc Szabo and the Woodards!  Sarah and Stephanie!  Both this Sabbath and last Sabbath they both made a point to find me and say hi.  Such lovely young ladies!
Elyssia, Jamie, myself, Tasha, and Skye.
Met these two friendly teens today....l to r:  Rachel and Rose.  They are twins.  Very friendly!
Caught up a bit with Adrienne.  Known this girl for all of her life!
For the record, Olivia Alvord also came over to say hi, but I somehow didn't get a shot of her...talking I guess.  I got your hello message, Candice.  :-)!
Last night and today, etc...I keep pleasantly running into the gal from Italy who only speaks Italian.  She poses with Gladys W.
Gianni and Caleb smile for the phone cam.
My bro and sis in law smile
AC student workers Charles, Victoria, and Bianca
The sun interfered, but my dad chatting with Benjamin and Conner.

A Productive Day of Sewing

A productive Sunday of sewing at the homestead with Jamie H.
Jamie is learning to sew, and it's no secret I like creating things, so we made a girls afternoon of it.
She's making a skirt, and I'm making a dress.
It's difficult to find stylish and classy ladies clothing in today's society if you don't design your own which is why I learned to sew, but when it gets busy it's easy to grab and wear.  I know I've done that sometimes and passed by a mirror and been like, really Carolyn, even though ppl probably were kind enough not to say anything.  :-)!  Being classy and elegant like a princess or queen is part of what being lady like is about.  It's hard to find a dress that isn't too low cut up top, or the skirt is so short it's almost non existent, etc, and sewing really is a lost Proverb's 31 quality of a woman in today's world, so I'm inspired to hit the sewing machine more like I use to do in hopes of showing elegance and style with class on this blog.  ...aka...not that I'm "the queen" lol, but we are all growing everyday.  We'll see how much time allows!

A very simple "Linner," in between lunch and dinner, for Jamie and I...millet, corn on the cob, seasoned ground beef, and fresh cut peaches, and fresh spearmint tea with spearmint leaves from my mom's garden.  We are still so blessed in this country though the cost of food is no joke these days!

The dress project I'm currently working....
It's not sewn together yet, but all of the pieces are cut, pieced it together, and ready to hit the machine.
Can't wait!

Candid PYC 1st Sabbath and etc Photos

PYC Sabbath's are always so lovely and wonderful.  I look forward to them every summer.  The teens are so enthusiastic and friendly!  They are definitely special!
I didn't get to take as many pics as I would have liked...too busy fellowshipping for the most part, but I guess that's a good thing. :-)
ABOVE::  Mr. Malone was fellowshipping with a group of teens, so I got them all together for a quick photo.
The girl to the far left is from Italy and doesn't speak much English at all.  She seems very sweet though our brief communicating encounter proves that I can't speak Italian, but everyone was communicating with the language of "agape!"  :-)
Another VERY friendly group of teens that stopped me and introduced themselves.  I can't get over how friendly these teens are!  It was great!
Mr. S. Flurry chatting with some teens.
...so these kids are too young for PYC now, but they looked so adorable I couldn't resist a photo!...we have Megan J., William J. , Savannah B., and Alec B.
Mr. Sam Livingston poses with a camper.  Regal relaxation moment!
Mrs. Stewart was up visiting from Texas holding her grandson Jack R.!  Baby Jack is totally one of the happiest babies around.
Apparently, I missed the memo to wear black AND white!
Leticia, probably misspelled her name, poses with her son Malik P. who is a first year camper at PYC.  His facial expression is priceless.  His mom looks not much older than him, but that is his mom!
Edwin Trebels poses with his son Quinn.  So sweet!

PYC camper Ansley W. poses with Jamie.  Yep, definitely black and white day.  :-)
Alexander D. poses with his mom Gloria.

PYC camper Sarah W. and Lisa H.
After services, the sisterhood, aka, Tiffany, Jamie, and visitor who's son is at PYC, Leticia went out to dinner at Old Chicago.

We went for a walk in the park to enjoy the beauty of God's creation, and the blessing of each other's company.  All in all, it was one blessed, lovely day!

...and that's a wrap!  :-)

Coats Family Expansion Celebration

Above:  Photo of a baby dress I'm working on for my unborn niece.  Still have some work to do to finish it up!
Coats Family Expansion Celebration!

We have a date!  E-Invites are going out with those details.  If you would like to attend, and for some reason didn't get an e-invite, let us know.  It's a family affair, so everyone is invited!
DETAILS:  Everyone arrives...MEN can go outside to a designated safe area and enjoy shooting at targets on my brother's 10 acres, and in another area away from the shooting obviously, we will have fun men and boys kick ball (not soccer, kick ball) outside, weather permitting.  If men need to come inside for facilities, or to grab water or a snack, or if they just prefer to be inside and chat, they can do so at my brother and sister in laws house.  This will go on for about 1 hour.
WOMEN:  go inside of Carolyn's home upon arrival and open the baby gifts with light snacks provided.  This will go on for about 1 hour. My sister in laws theme is Winnie the Pooh.  The ultrasounds show that it's a girl!  See below for her baby registration links.

Afterwards, everyone, men and women will all come together in Carolyn Coats' home for a family potluck supper.
Those coming can bring a dish of their choice; a main or side dish.  My family will bake cakes and pies in celebration, so dessert will be covered!
We've waited a looooong time for our family to expand even more, so we would love to share our excitement with our wonderful extended family!  Baby Coats is going to be one loved baby!  :-)
