My Latest Wedding Veil Design!

Summer has arrived and love is in the air w/weddings and beach and pool parties! In celebration of this season we call summer I'm gearing my designs for the season.

I designed this wedding veil to be worn one of two ways, with the veil down and completely covering the face, or to be worn with the face fully exposed with the veil pulled back. Most brides prefer to walk down the aisle with the veil covering their face, and then after the ceremony they prefer to keep the veil completely pulled in the back off of their face, so I designed it with that in mind as well. This veil will go on sale in shop. I modeled it both ways, veil covering face, and then the veil off of the face. Elegant White Satin Wedding Dress Shawl

I designed this shawl to be worn with a wedding dress. It's made of white satin, and ties in an elegant bow in the back making the shawl actually appear, especially in the back, as part of the wedding dress as you can see in the pictures. This shawl will go on sale in my shop. I designed this for those who like to add a little life and color to their wedding. This shawl is designed to do so, by adding a elegant even royal touch to a wedding garment.

Designing a Skirt For Myself

This past weekend I was able to get quite a few projects done. At the end of the long 3 day weekend I begin working on a blue/green pin striped skirt for myself. I've been needing a new nice quality business skirt to wear into the office for awhile, so I finally made time to begin working on it. I got it cut out, now just have to sew it together and sew in a side zipper. Should be cute when done! The up close photo shows the pin stripe pattern in the fabric.

Productive 3 Day Weekend!---New Wedding and Beach Fashion Designs Completed

Memorial Day Weekend has been a very productive one. I fulfilled a few of my Scents of Happiness natural skin & hair beauty products orders. Always fun making those products, and then I finished quite a few of my new fashion designs. With June and summer just about here officially, I'm switching gears to summertime wedding and beach wear designs. June and July are the months of "love" and also the months to go on a getaway and hit the beach or the pool! I was able to design, sew, and model a few of my summer wedding fashion designs as well as some of my beach swimming suit cover up designs with more still to come! These designs will of course go on sale in my shop. I also begin working on a personal cool blue/green pin striped business skirt for myself! Photos of the new designs that will go on sale in my shop that I was able to complete this Memorial Day weekend should be available by tomorrow night or by Wednesday morning. Tornado Yesterday

Yesterday was a crazy day in Oklahoma. There were 4 tornadoes that touched down...one in Piedmont, one close to Norman, one in Oklahoma City, and one in Guthrie, yeah, my home town! Businesses closed early sending employees home, Oklahoma is one of the states in the USA "used to" tornadoes....Texas and Kansas are the other two big tornado alley states, so we are prepared for them, as much as you can be prepared for a storm that's going to huff and puff and blow you away!

I was down in the basement of our 20 million dollar auditorium with fellow coworkers for almost 2 hours. I'm blessed to work there, and it's one of the safest buildings in Oklahoma and even the bordering states. From the bsmt of the auditorium we were watching the track of the tornado on TV at first it was headed straight for us, then it veered and headed right for my home town of Guthrie where I live in South East Guthrie. Said a quick prayer, and it was at that very moment that the storm veered left and lost some of it's fury though it did touch down in West Guthrie destroying property there, it was nothing like it could have been, and it didn't hit my property at all. Being a gal who grew up in Texas, tornado alley,and now living my adult life in Oklahoma, also tornado alley, I have seen first hand the destruction of many tornadoes. Down in the auditorium basement there of course was no cell phone service underground, can't even hear the rain and wind that was happening outside underground. ......so as soon as we were released and I got above ground, my phone almost instantly started ringing, and then text messages popped up, and I had several voice mails already that suddenly popped up. I was overwhelmed with love! I'm blessed with some caring amazing friends! When I drove back home, I took the interstate to highway 33 on the East side, the tornado had hit on highway 33 in Guthrie on the West side, and sure enough, I saw debris on the highway that had been blown from the west side. Quite sobering. So, we all survived yesterday. So, after all of that, and with more house guests coming in today, I will be taking the rest of the week off from designing and will pick up my new designs next week though next week is another busy one, but that's my life! A blessing to always be busy!

Formal Elegance Ladies Shawl

Here is one of my latest ladies summer shawl designs. This shawl is designed for formal, classy elegance. I designed this shawl to be worn two ways. It can be tied in the back for a elegant look OR it can be tied in the front for another different type of elegant look. This shawl is all hand sewed. My sewing machine didn't like the gold shimmering pieces of fabric on the black; needle kept getting stuck to the gold pieces and breaking, so I ended up sewing this all by hand. One of a kind! This will go for sale in my shop.

Classy Ladies Summer Shawl

This is a classy, simple summery design of mine. This shawl is VERY comfortable, is made of sheer, stretchy fabric allowing for easy shoulder and arm movement. Flowers are the print on this fabric. Perfect for summertime outfits with yellow, brown, and white being the main colors. I modeled this wearing a beige halter top. This Shawl will go for sale in my shop.

Productive Weekend

I finished One Design this weekend and started working on another. I broke 2 sewing machine needles on one of the fabrics. My machine just doesn't like it....it's not thick fabric either. ....so I'm having to sew that by hand. Hoping to finish it tonight. I didn't model the design that I completed yet. Had a lot on the agenda this weekend....no time for the photo shoot yet...either tonight or tomorrow evening hopefully.

More Men's Neckties Coming Soon

Last week a friend reminded/pushed me to design more men's neckties. I have to be honest, making neckties is hard!!! Very time consuming, but I needed that push, so in a few weeks I'll pick that back up. Right now, I want to finish the designs that I've already got going. Busy weekend for myself planned ahead!

Latest Sheer Shawl Design

This is my latest sheer green spring/summer shawl design. Dips into a V shape in the back. Adds an elegant look to any formal dress or top, and helps keep exposed shoulders and arms in formal attire from being too cold. This shawl will be placed in my shop for sale.

Beach/Pool Ladies Swimming Suit Cover-Up

Here's my latest Ladies Swimming Suit Cover Up. Made for ladies who want to avoid sunburn while being on the beach, or those who want to be classy while enjoying time at the beach or pool. The fabric is the same type of stretchy fabric that swimming suits are made from, so it's comfy, can be worn in the water, and dries quickly. Perfect for if you want to run in a store straight from the beach or pool! This will go in my shop for sale in a few weeks.

Working Hard!

My two latest designs! Had a productive evening last night. Yesterday evening I worked hard constantly bending over on the floor cutting fabric......or standing up at the counter sewing with the machine for FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT! When it was time to retire for the night, resting my bones was so fantastic! I love working hard physically b/c it makes resting great! I intended to only get one design done, but I got two designs completely done! This evening is Weds evening, and I give myself a free night to refresh, but back to it tomorrow evening on Thursday with my next design that's all drawn out and ready to be sewn into the world of reality! Here's my two latest designs shown above!

Decision

I have 3 totally different designs all sketched and ready to begin sewing. I can't decide which sketch I will begin with. Each design is so different with one casual, one formal, one neither casual or formal. The mystery will continue until this evening. I'll just reach into the bag of fabric and whatever piece of fabric I grab will be the design that I begin working on. Sounds like my plan!

Many weeks later, I finally picked up my unfinished Red Rose Top Design and finished it! On to another new design this week hoping to start it tonight. Sketch of it is already finished.

CC's Latest Design!

Here is my latest formal design. For spring and summer months I'm going to be into designing spring/summer shawls and wraps. This design took me a week to finish. It looks simple, but was complex. I'm happy with it. This will go in my shop for sale.

Working on a new design

Last night, I begin working on a new design. I got so tired though that I did what I totally dislike doing...I didn't finish it, and I had to go get some zzzz's, but it gives me motivation to hurry and get home this evening. I'm working with my green satin fabric. Hopefully, my design will come out classy like my art rendering of it. It's either going to come out, or it's going to flop and I'm going to have to start over, but I think it will turn out.

My Latest Design!

Pools are beginning to open, people are beginning to plan summer vacation getaways on the beach. With that in mind, I designed a simple beach or pool wrap for women. The beach is one of my favorite getaway places to be, but I always feel exposed in just my swimming suit when I'm not actually in the water, so designing this simple wrap is just perfect. It's made out of the same stretchy fabric that a swimming suit is made from, so it's comfortable, dries quickly, and can even be worn in the water. It's hard to see on the photos, but it has a cute little tie on the side to hold it up. I will put this in my online shop for sale sometime soon, I want to design a few more for inventory and put them all up for sale at once.
